Dr. James Lemuel Spence is a highly accomplished individual with a diverse range of expertise and a deep-rooted commitment to his faith. He is a graduate of the University of Baltimore, where he received an interdisciplinary degree in Management, Psychology, and Communication in 1992. Driven by his passion for knowledge and spiritual growth, he went on to earn a Master of Divinity degree from Logos Christian College in 1996. His pursuit of academic excellence continued, leading him to obtain a Doctorate in Religious Philosophy from The Tabernacle Bible Baptist of Theology in 2001.

Throughout his career, Dr. Spence has established himself as a respected author, speaker, and spiritual leader. He has authored three influential books: & Groomed For Destiny, & Understanding the Destiny Cut, and & Embracing the Prophetic. These insightful works have touched the lives of many, offering 

profound guidance and wisdom on subjects ranging from personal growth to 

spiritual enlightenment.

 

Dr. Spence influence extends beyond the pages of his books. He has made numerous appearances
on prominent Christian television networks, including TBN, Word Network, Impact Network, and TCT
Gospel Network. Through these platforms, he has reached a wide audience, spreading his message of
hope, faith, and transformation.

 

    As the Founder and Presiding Prelate of Word Harvest International Fellowship of Churches, an
      Independent Christian Reformation, Dr. Spence has played a pivotal role in shaping the spiritual
         landscape. This fellowship encompasses over 30 churches and para ministries across more than 12
           states, fostering unity, growth, and spiritual empowerment within its diverse community. Dr. Spence  
            aids in the quality training and development of senior leaders across the country.

 

                In addition to his role as the Presiding Prelate, Dr. Spence serves as the founding Senior Pastor of
                Word Empowerment Church, also known as WeChurch. This dynamic ministry has multiple locations,
                 including Durham, NC; Richmond, VA; and Wilson, NC. Through WeChurch, Dr. Spence leads and
                 nurtures a thriving congregation, dedicated to living out their faith and making a positive impact on
                  their communities.

 

                Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Spence cherishes his role as a devoted husband to his
             loving wife and partner, Lady Suzette Spence. Together, they embody the principles of love, support,
          and mutual care. Their union has been blessed with six children and eleven grandchildren, creating a
        legacy of love and family values.

 

Dr. Spence personal journey reflects his unyielding pursuit of his faith and his unshakable devotion
to God. Guided by the words of Psalm 42:1, As the hart panteth after the water-brooks, so panteth
my soul after God, he continuously seeks a deeper connection with his spiritual foundation.
